JUAD UBON RATCHATHANI

“J̄ûad” is a local Isan dialect word that imitates the sound of striking a match or the powerful launch sound of a traditional rocket (Băng Fai). It signifies the start of extreme fun and excitement, or the initiation of a powerful, full-force ascent—as in the saying, “P̄ān Băng Fai J̄ûad” (Like a rocket taking off with force).

This concept of powerful beginning and ascent became the inspiration for the design of this TCDC center. It aims to express the identity of the Ubon Ratchathani people through its architecture, creating a space for learning, creativity, and recreation for the locals and surrounding communities in our own down-to-earth style. We take pride in the belief that: “The unique beauty and identity of Ubon Ratchathani are second to none.”
